Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AV Installation Engineer to join our growing installation team. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with strong client‑facing abilities and a passion for delivering high‑quality AV installations. You’ll work on a range of corporate projects – including boardrooms, meeting rooms, and control systems – and be responsible for ensuring every installation meets AXV’s premium standards.
This is a site‑based role, and candidates must be able to commute to Aberdeen daily. Some UK travel may be required for projects, and although rare, there may be occasions where out‑of‑hours work is necessary to meet project deadlines or client needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out on‑site AV installations: mounting and rigging displays, running cables/trunking, and installing and configuring AV hardware.
* Configure and commission AV systems (including conferencing, control, and digital signage systems) to meet client specifications.
* Install, test, and troubleshoot systems from manufacturers such as Yealink and Logitech; experience with Q‑SYS is advantageous.
* Liaise with clients on site, ensuring clear communication, professional conduct, and excellent customer service.
* Work independently on site when required, managing time and resources efficiently.
* Collaborate effectively with project managers, technicians, and engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
* Diagnose and resolve installation issues quickly and effectively.
* Maintain installation documentation, configuration lists, and handover materials.
* Ensure all work complies with health & safety standards and company procedures.
* Occasionally work outside standard hours when required (e.g. project deadlines, client schedules).
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar AV installation role within the corporate sector.
* Strong experience with Yealink, Logitech, and comparable AV systems.
* Experience with Q‑SYS or other AV control platforms is highly desirable.
* Full UK driving licence required.
* Must be able to commute daily to Aberdeen and travel to client sites as needed.
* Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
* Strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexible and willing to occasionally work out of hours when required.
* Commitment to maintaining high installation standards and attention to detail.
What We Offer
* A dynamic role within a growing, award‑winning company.
* Exposure to diverse and high‑profile AV installation projects.
* Opportunities to expand your technical expertise and develop with new AV technologies.
* Supportive, team‑oriented culture that values initiative.
