Management Accountant
(Internal Job Level Reference: Specialist)

Zest4 (part of Focus Group) is looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance, and maintaining strong financial controls.

What you’ll do
* Prepare monthly management accounts, reporting into Group in line with set timelines
* Complete balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany accounts
* Produce and submit VAT returns accurately and on time
* Provide clear commentary on financial performance and key variances
* Maintain accurate ledgers to reflect the current business position
* Support the Finance Director and Senior Leadership Team with financial insights
* Work with group colleagues and external advisors, supporting audit and strategic initiatives
* Run and review control reports (e.g. aged debtors/creditors, cashbook)
* Support the wider business with finance processes, ensuring clarity and consistency
* Handle large volumes of financial data with a high level of accuracy
What you’ll bring
* Experience producing management accounts from trial balance
* Understanding of finance systems / ERP platforms
* Working knowledge of VAT returns and financial controls
* Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a finance role
* Part‑qualified (or working towards) accounting qualification
* Strong numerical, organisational, and analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly
* Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
* Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Nice to have
* Staff management experience
* Experience within the telecoms or technology sector
* Experience with Sage or Microsoft Dynamics 365
