ADL Roofing & Distributors Ltd is an established supplier of roofing products. We are currently looking to recruit a trade counter sales assistant to work at our branch in Rainford.
We’re looking for a personable and welcoming individual who can engage confidently with customers, understand their needs, and deliver excellent service in a positive manner.
In this role, you’ll be an important part of selling our complete range of roofing and building materials, so prior experience working on a trade counter or within the building industry would be desirable.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Support customers in-store as well as via telephone enquiries
* Provide helpful service and clear, accurate advice on products
* Create and supply quotations based on customer needs
* Order materials and maintain appropriate stock levels
Skills and Experience
You’ll be part of a supportive, team‑focused environment with regular interaction with customers, so it’s important you’re someone who creates a positive impression and consistently delivers reliable service and advice. A motivated, proactive attitude is key, along with:
* Previous sales experience in a merchant or similar setting is beneficial, though full training can be provided
* Knowledge of building materials or supplies would be an advantage
* Confidence when engaging with customers in a variety of situations
* Strong relationship‑building skills to encourage repeat business
* Clear communication skills, both over the phone and face to face
* Comfortable using computers and standard systems
Part‑time role, working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm, with the possibility of additional hours when needed.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
