Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) Teacher – Full Time – Tadley

(Experienced SEND Teacher • Strong Behaviour Management • Permanent Position)

Teaching Personnel are supporting a specialist provision in Tadley in their search for an experienced and passionate MLD Teacher to join them full‑time from September. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator with a strong background in SEND, exceptional behaviour management, and a commitment to helping pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties reach their full potential.

The school offers a nurturing, personalised environment where staff work collaboratively to remove barriers to learning and empower pupils to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

-----------------------------------

The Role

As an MLD Teacher, you will deliver a tailored curriculum to pupils typically working several years below age‑related expectations. You will plan engaging and differentiated lessons across core subjects, ensuring every child is supported, challenged and able to experience success.

You’ll work closely with specialist colleagues, therapists, curriculum leaders and parents to create a consistent, holistic approach that supports progress both in and beyond the classroom.

-----------------------------------

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver high‑quality lessons adapted to the individual needs of pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties
* Promote positive behaviour and create a safe, purposeful learning environment
* Take a proactive role in curriculum planning, classroom delivery and assessment
* Work collaboratively with SEN teams, therapists, educational psychologists and external agencies
* Implement and monitor Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) in line with school policy
* Evaluate learning plans, adapt resources and model best practice for support staff
* Maintain strong communication with parents/carers and build positive relationships
* Ensure lessons are scaffolded effectively to support a wide range of abilities
* Use ongoing assessment and feedback to track progress and close learning gaps
* Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and contribute to a culture of safety and wellbeing
-----------------------------------

The Ideal Candidate

You will be:

* An experienced teacher with a passion for SEND and inclusive education
* Skilled at behaviour management and creating a calm, structured classroom
* Confident in adapting lessons to meet a wide range of learning levels
* A strong communicator who builds trust with students, families and colleagues
* Organised, reflective and committed to high expectations
* A positive, resilient practitioner who thrives within a collaborative team
* Dedicated to continuous professional development and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners

Experience working with MLD, PMLD, ASD or SEMH students is beneficial, but the school is equally open to strong teachers from mainstream backgrounds with the right attitude and a willingness to learn.

-----------------------------------

What the School Offers

* A warm, nurturing and pupil‑centred learning environment
* Strong leadership committed to staff development and wellbeing
* Highly collaborative multi‑disciplinary teams
* Regular CPD, including opportunities to develop SEND expertise
* A supportive ethos with consistent behaviour policies
* Well‑resourced classrooms tailored to individual learning needs
