Overview
This role provides the opportunity to build upon your clinical, managerial and leadership skills within a supportive, friendly, and forward-thinking team. This post is suitable for a current band 6 or an experienced band 5 who is progressing their career towards a band 6 position.

Responsibilities
* To work as an autonomous practitioner and participate in reflective practice, maintaining and furthering own professional development
* To provide and participate in professional supervision and training for other occupational therapists, students and therapy assistants
* To assist the team lead in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the service provided to patients, on a day-to-day basis, providing additional support in the absence of the team lead and to the wider teams as required.
* To actively contribute to service improvements to ensure practice is of the highest quality, evidence based and meets the needs of the local population.
Full time or part time opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 occupational therapist to join our acute and community rotation programme. This post provides the opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge and skills in various settings and specialities whilst developing your leadership skills as a senior occupational therapist.
The rotations include the acute stroke, community assessment bed settings, medical, surgical, and respiratory alongside orthopaedics. There is a broader range of specialities within our service that you can experience, with an opportunity to tailor your development to progress your career. This can be a developmental band 5 to 6 post if required, where you will undertake a nine-month programme at a minimum to further develop your skills and knowledge to achieve this senior occupational therapy position.
