Key duties of the Bodyshop Manager include:
11. Oversee daily bodyshop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
12. Manage, motivate and develop the bodyshop team to meet and exceed quality standards.
13. Ensure repairs are carried out in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
14. Implement and enforce health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
15. Conduct quality control audits to ensure customer satisfaction and repair excellence.
16. Control costs, manage budgets and optimise resource utilisation.
17. Maintain excellent customer relationships through effective communication and service.
18. Ensure all tools, machinery and workshop facilities are maintained to high standards.
19. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency and output.
The Successful Bodyshop Manager will have:
20. Proven management experience within a bodyshop or vehicle repair environment.
21. In-depth knowledge of vehicle body repairs, paint processes and industry standards.
22. Understanding of health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and PPE protocols.
23. Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
24. Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
25. NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or ATA accreditation in Vehicle Body Repair desirable but not essential.
