To provide a comprehensive administration and secretarial support to the Shropshire Wheelchair and Posture Service, (a specialist clinical and mechanical multidisciplinary team who provide a service to people with mobility problems requiring a wheelchair).
In addition to this vacancy there will be Bank hours available for the first 12 months. This is due to Maternity leave with in the Team.

Main duties of the job
* Share responsibility for reception desk.
* Be the first point of contact for service users; booking and arranging appointments, general enquires.
* Book and plan clinics whilst liaising with manufacturer representatives and clinicians.
* Secretarial support for the service: managing and coordinating diaries, ordering, taking minutes.

Training and Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent. Maths and English at C or above - or equivalent qualification/demonstrable experience
* Intermediate IT skills RSA 3 / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Experience
* Experience of Microsoft Office packages eg. Word, Excel
* Experience of patient related data collection systems
Knowledge and Skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - including observation, listening and empathy skills
* Ability to organise and prioritise
* Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
* Able to take responsibility for appointment organisation without direct supervision
* Knowledge of confidentiality issues
* Good telephone skills
