The Role
Are you reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to work in a practical, outdoor environment with livestock? Sofina Foods is looking for motivated individuals to join our Outdoor Pig Farming Operations in the Inverness area.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work and is open to learning. While experience in agriculture is an advantage, it’s not essential – we’ll provide comprehensive training to help you thrive in your role.
Due to the rural locations of our farms, having your own transport is essential.
Starting Rate : £12.21
Experienced Rate (12 months +) : £12.61
Hours of work –
Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm (approx).
Friday 8am to 4pm. (Weekend work is required on a rota basis).
Every third Thursday 4am to 1pm (Start time with Seasonal Variability).
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Working with pigs on an outdoor unit, including feeding, moving, serving, and handling the pigs.
2. Working as part of a team to maintain and uphold the highest standards of animal welfare.
3. Following Health and Safety procedures and to support management in fostering a positive safety culture.
