Mencap are seeking Support Workers to join our incredible teams in Peterborough. Candidates with driving licences will be desirable but not a requirement to apply for this role, however you may be expected to work across different services/locations within the area.
About The Role
Youll be supporting both males and females with a range of needs to live their best lives whether at home or out in the community.
What Youll Be Doing
* Supporting people with personal care, daily routines, and independence.
* Assisting with mobility and manual handling when required.
* Taking part in activities like:
o Bowling, discos, bingo, arts & crafts
o Trips to the café for coffee and cake
o Attending day centres and community events
* Creating a fun and safe environment both at home and out in the community.
Shift Flexibility
Were looking for team members who can work a variety of shifts, including:
* Days and evenings
* Weekends
* Sleep-in shifts (with a flat rate of £63.70)
Contract Options
* Ideally we are looking for part time, this would be a maximum of 30 hours but this can be discussed at pre interview stage
Experience is welcome but not essential we provide full training and ongoing support.
