Job Title: Activity Leader
Location: Willow Bank Woodley, Reading, Berkshire, RG5 4RW
Hours: 21.25
NB: Up to 40 hours available during school holidays
Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour
Contracts Available: Permanent
Working hours: Breakfast Club 7:15 am – 9:00 am & After school club 15:00–18:00, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities
* Plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more, ensuring they are age-appropriate.
* Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, including signing in and out processes.
* Provide refreshments for the children.
Playworker role at JAG
* Create an inclusive and fun atmosphere for the children in our care, from picking them up from school to safely delivering them back to their parents or caregivers.
* Collaborate with the team to plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more.
* Ensure all activities are age and skill-appropriate while prioritizing safety, including the proper use of equipment and space.
* Provide refreshments for the kids while maintaining hygiene and health and safety standards.
* Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
* Follow Health and Safety protocols and policies and keep all relevant documentation up to date (e.g., accident and incident forms).
* Ensure proper sign-in and sign-out processes for all children in our care.
* Communicate professionally with team members, parents, children, and schools.
* Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
* Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
* Keep information and documents related to the children confidential and secure.
* Inspire team members and children to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.
Requirements & Additional Information
* This role requires compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. You must provide two references (one from your most recent employer and one from a childcare setting, if applicable). A DBS check will be conducted on your behalf; please prepare the correct documentation.
