* Working Pattern: Full Time/Term Time

We are seeking to appoint a talented individual to the post of Senior Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The role involves working with the teachers, taking responsibility for agreed learning activities, involving planning, preparing and delivering learning to individuals, groups and whole classes, including class cover supervision as required.

Rise@GHC is a specialist resource provision for learners with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and other related special educational needs. The centre is part of Garth Hill College but operates in dedicated buildings within a short walk/drive from our main site. NAS autism accreditation was awarded in 2024.

The successful candidate will be highly competent in identifying and implementing individualised support plans, in conjunction with the pupil and family, which promote inclusion and independence. In addition, the successful candidate will contribute effectively to the work of the multi-disciplinary team, including delivering agreed therapy programmes.

The successful candidate will be educated to Level 3 (two GCE ‘A’ Level passes) and possess Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics (GCSE Grade C or higher or equivalent). Prospective candidates are advised to study the person specification and job description for this post carefully.
