Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you'll take ownership of the service function, including:
* Scheduling and allocating work for Field and Workshop Engineers
* Planning and coordinating all PPM and statutory inspections
* Logging, prioritising, and managing breakdowns and defect reports
* Ordering, tracking, and managing spare parts from suppliers
* Keeping the Hire Desk and customers updated on repair progress and downtime
* Maintaining accurate service, maintenance, and compliance records
* Ensuring all work meets Health & Safety and industry standards
* Processing job sheets, checking labour hours, and handling service invoices
What we're looking for:
To succeed as a Service Controller, you'll ideally have:
* Experience on the hire or service side of a plant hire business, or a closely related industry
* A background working as a controller within engineering, service, or maintenance operations
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
* Confident communication skills when dealing with engineers and customers
