Reception Teaching Assistant – Primary School Location: Camden, London Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full-time, whole academic year School Type: Small, friendly primary school We’re working with a warm and close-knit Camden primary school looking for a caring and enthusiastic Reception Teaching Assistant to join their team from September for the full academic year. The Role: Supporting the class teacher with daily learning and routines in Reception Leading small groups and 1:1 activities to boost early literacy and numeracy Encouraging independence, curiosity, and confidence in pupils Helping to create a calm, safe, and engaging classroom environment Working closely with the Early Years team to plan and deliver creative activities We’re Looking For: Experience working in EYFS (nursery or reception) A warm, patient and nurturing approach Good communication skills and a proactive attitude EYFS or childcare qualifications (Level 2/3) are a bonus but not essential A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Thrive training is a plus — if you’re not trained yet, we’ll provide it free Why Work With Protocol Education?
