Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only - Full Time and Part Time available)
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team supporting schools and colleges across the North East. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting an inclusive learning environment and ensuring that all pupils are supported to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to individual pupils and small groups, both in and out of the classroom.
* Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management, and learning activities.
* Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs).
* Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
* Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to teaching staff.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school community and uphold its values and standards.
Person Specification
* A patient, empathetic, and professional approach to supporting pupils.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction from teaching staff.
* Commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.
* You must hold or be willing to have an Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
