The IT Quality Senior Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional teams and departments, integrating subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. This role contributes to standards and requires an in-depth understanding of how areas integrate within the sub-function and the broader IT Quality function, with basic commercial awareness.
Responsibilities
* Performs initiatives related to full Quality Engineering cycle, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and product rollout into production. Works with technology project managers, UAT professionals and users to design and implement scripts/plans for an application testing strategy. Responsibilities may include software quality assurance testing.
* Resolves complex and highly variable issues.
* Analyzes trends at an organizational level to improve processes and follows industry trends.
* Develops and designs standards and procedures; ensures adherence throughout the software development life cycle.
* Manages organizational process change.
* Develops and implements methods for cost, effort and milestones of IT Quality activities, aiming for continuous improvements and streamline processes.
* Ensures consistency and quality of processes across the organization. Demonstrates in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge in other areas.
* Requires in-depth understanding of how own area integrates within IT Quality and basic commercial awareness.
* Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes decisions on pay increases, promotions, terminations, etc.
* Uses evaluative judgment in complicated or novel situations and uses multiple sources of information.
* Impacts IT Quality through delivery of end results and contribution to planning, finances/budget and policy formulation.
* Responsible for budgeting, project estimates, task management and prioritization across multiple streams of development.
* Responsible for people management, mentoring and career development processes, including delivering performance reviews, training and recruiting.
* Collaborates with local and global stakeholders (QA team, production support, environment management, DBA team, etc.) to ensure project stability and productivity.
* Handle day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, uphold Citigroup's reputation and safeguarding of clients and assets, drive compliance with laws and regulations, and escalate and report control issues with transparency; supervise others and uphold ethical standards.
Qualifications
* Relevant IT Testing experience required
* Excellent knowledge of software testing techniques and tools
* Knowledge of well-known software development and testing life-cycle methodologies
* Good communication and diplomacy skills with ability to persuade and influence
* KYC domain knowledge
Education
* Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred
