Process Engineer

Our client are a market leader in the manufacture, design, and qualification of composite and PU material solutions for the defence, aerospace, health, rail and automotive sectors. They are seeking a process engineer to join their growing team at their Gloucester manufacturing site.
Responsibilities – Process Engineer
* Evaluate and develop manufacturing processes and capabilities by devising and conducting research projects in conjunction with the Technical Department
* Conduct product and process parameter capability studies to determine process performance
* Continual evaluation of processes and equipment to ensure efficiency, productivity and quality of products.
* Conduct PFMEAs as per the Process Control Matrix to determine controls to be applied that deliver quality requirements and prevent product-related issues
* Develop, document and effectively implement Control Plans as per the Process Control Matrix
* Conduct FMEAs as per the Process Control Matrix to determine controls to be applied that deliver quality requirements and prevent process-related issues
* Liaise with Quality Department to identify nonconformance trends (scrap, rework, etc.) and apply root cause analysis tools and techniques to address (responsibility for analysing data TBC)
* Develop, document and effectively implement SOPs as per the Process Control Matrix
* Provide support to production by troubleshooting in the event of equipment or process failures
Qualification/Experience – Process Engineer
* Change Management skills
* Served a recognised Engineering apprenticeship.
* APQP Project knowledge
* Six Sigma exposure/ experience
* Cost analysis knowledge
* Kaizen event knowledge
* Budgeting skills
* Good knowledge of PPAP, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans (Core Tools)
