System Security ConsultantLocation: Farnborough (4 days on-site)Type: Permanent, Full-TimeSalary: Up to £65,000Security Clearance : It is an essential requirement for candidates to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC Level) prior to appointment.As a System Security Consultant, you will play a key role in ensuring that systems and information are secure, compliant, and fit for purpose. This is an operational role focused on maintaining and improving the ongoing security posture of internal infrastructure.You'll work closely with IT and engineering teams while supporting the implementation of security policies and ensuring continuous assurance.Key ResponsibilitiesManage cyber risk across internal systemsEnsure the security of internal infrastructure and servicesDevelop and maintain security policies and documentationEnsure system design and implementation meet security requirementsProduce evidence to meet MOD regulatory standardsCollaborate with engineering teams (Software, DevSecOps, Infrastructure, Support)Report on compliance and cyber risks to senior stakeholdersProvide security consultancy to project teams and support operational improvementsWhat we are looking for;You'll be someone who takes ownership, thinks critically, and thrives in a collaborative environment tackling complex challenges.Experience conducting risk assessments using methodologies such as NIST or ISO 27005Ability to define and implement risk mitigation strategies (technical, physical, procedural)Experience producing security documentation (e.g. risk assessments, security design, policies, test plans)Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage change securely and effectivelyExperience with technologies such as Azure, M365, Intune, JAMF, Windows, macOS, KubernetesUnderstanding of Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD in secure environmentsAwareness of working within secure or safety-critical environmentsWhy Apply?Competitive salary up to £65,00025 days annual leave + bank holidaysPrivate medical insurance and life assuranceGenerous pension (10% employer / 5% employee)Bonus schemeOngoing professional development and training supportOn-site facilities including parking, gym, café, and breakout spacesTPBN1_UKTJ
