Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting or within home care environments. This role is essential in ensuring that individuals receive the support they need to maintain their dignity and independence. The Care Assistant will work closely with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver personalised care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Duties
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support residents in following their care plans and ensure that their individual needs are met.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
* Foster a warm and friendly environment by engaging residents in conversation and activities.
* Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment for all residents.
* Drive to various locations if required for home care visits, ensuring safe transportation of clients as needed.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
* A good command of English is required for effective communication with residents, families, and colleagues.
* Strong communication skills are crucial for establishing rapport with residents and understanding their unique needs.
* Familiarity with creating or following care plans is advantageous, as well as basic IT skills for record keeping and reporting purposes.
