An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Media Coordinator join the team at Joseph Holt Ltd on a permanent contract.
Overview:
This role will help support our pubs and wider business by improving how the pubs use social media at Joseph Holt. It will focus on creating content to engage local customers online with a big focus on getting our pubs to adhere to social media rules. It will also allow for research and support of our Social Media Lead. We currently struggle with policing the pub accounts due to the volume of pubs. This would enable us to really police the accounts and remove non-approved content.
Key Responsibilities
* Regularly check and monitor all Joseph Holt pub social media accounts to ensure brand consistency, appropriate content, and correct use of logos, hashtags, and promotions.
* Provide simple, friendly training to pub teams to boost their confidence and skills – from taking better photos to writing engaging captions and using scheduling tools.
* Help develop and share easy-to-follow content ideas, templates, and calendars to make posting quicker and more effective for pub managers.
* Respond to common questions or customer comments where needed, supporting pubs in delivering great online customer service.
* Flag any concerns or great ideas to the central marketing team to help us improve how we support the estate.
* Support social media lead with new ideas and content generation for the main Joseph Holt social accounts
* Research and undertake relevant on-trend social ideas
* Work closely with the marketing team on social media ideas and regular content
Supporting the Social Media Lead & Business
This role will work closely with our Social Media Lead to help manage workload, spot new opportunities, and ensure every pub has the support they need. They’ll be extra resource and be the eyes and ears on the ground – offering practical help, feeding back challenges, and helping us roll out new initiatives more smoothly.
Ultimately, this role helps the wider business by raising the profile of our pubs online, attracting more customers, and building pride and consistency across the estate.
Skills & Experience
* Some experience in a social media role, ideally within a B2C, hospitality or consumer-focused environment.
* Confident creator of engaging content (photo, video, reels, stories).
* Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone of voice.
* Knowledge of social media tools (Meta Business Suite, scheduling platforms).
* Comfortable delivering workshops and coaching non-marketers.
* An outgoing and fun personality.
* Experience and understanding of Adobe Software.
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
* A passion for hospitality industry.

Who are we
Joseph Holt is an independent, six-generation family-owned company, with 128 pubs across the Northwest, ranging from traditional community pubs, food led destination pubs and some with onsite letting rooms. Since 1849 we have been brewing a wide range of award-winning beers in our Manchester brewery, which have won 7 Gold Medals at the International Brewing Awards at the last 7 International Brewing Awards in the last 14 years alone. Alongside this, we have an ever-expanding Free Trade and sell beer to multiple types of accounts across the country. We are a friendly, family run Brewer and Pub Company that are passionate about what we do and the people who work for us. For over 100 years, we have fundraised for the Christie Hospital and also support different charity appeals throughout the community.
