Job Description
Can you make a difference to the future lives of Glasgow's young people? Glasgow City Council is seeking to appoint an Instrumental Instructor of brass, to work in various establishments throughout the city. You must be a passionate and well-qualified musician with a true commitment to teaching who will inspire the musical development of our children and young people.
Responsibilities include:
1. Teaching brass instruments to pupils of all ages, from beginner to Grade 8 standard.
2. Preparing courses and SQA performance programmes as required.
3. Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to the improvement of outcomes for Glasgow's young people.
Candidates should be prepared to attend an interview 30 minutes before the scheduled time, perform one piece of their choice on their primary instrument, and then participate in a formal interview.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme is essential upon appointment. Successful candidates will be required to pay for their PVG membership or scheme checks.
