Clinical
1. To provide advanced, skilled, effective, and evidence-based healthcare.
2. To ensure patients are seen in priority order, utilizing Manchester triage assessment.
3. To utilize advanced, specialist skills to undertake thorough history taking, subjective and objective physical examinations, clinical decision-making, and safe treatment planning.
4. To utilize advanced skills in requesting and interpreting X-rays to safely manage patients presenting with fractures.
5. To apply advanced clinical assessment, reasoning skills, and knowledge to provide a safe service for all age groups, including children and infants.
6. When appropriate, to safely discharge patients, considering both physical and social factors.
7. To seize every opportunity during patient encounters to offer advice on health promotion and disease prevention, and to empower patients towards self-care where possible.
8. To undertake non-medical prescribing if qualified, or to utilize extensive PGDs when appropriate.
9. To collaborate with the wider urgent care team, including acute trusts, SWAST, OOH services, social services, local GPs, and ICT.
10. To adopt an innovative approach to practice in response to evolving service needs and priorities, acting as a change agent and facilitating the change process.
11. To have knowledge of, and be able to effectively refer to, local services and resources to promote comprehensive care.
12. To provide and receive sensitive, complex information related to patients and their relatives, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
