The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Barnet, you will support pupils with a variety of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, learning disabilities, and sensory needs. Roles are available across Early Years, Primary, and Secondary settings, depending on your experience and preference. You may be required to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) or work with small groups to help pupils access the curriculum. In some schools, you may support within specialist resource bases or SEN units attached to mainstream schools. Your role will involve providing consistency, emotional reassurance, and practical learning support to help pupils feel safe, included, and confident.
