Job Description Purpose of the role To investigate and analyse digital evidence related to cyber incidents, Security incidents, insider threats and incidents contravening Barclays policies, processes and potential criminal activity. Accountabilities Identification of Cybercrimes and determination of the nature of the incident such as Malware, insider threat, digital fraud or employee wrongdoing that is in breach of Barclays policies and processes. Digital evidence collection, by gathering, preserving, and documenting digital evidence data in a forensically sound manner to ensure admissibility for potential legal and employee tribunals/proceedings. Implementation of incident response procedures, ensuring swift investigative actions to security incidents, containment of threats, and conducting post incident analysis to understand root cause and prevent future occurrences. Identification and trace of individuals suspected of being responsible for breaches of policy, employee wrongdoing and potential criminal occurrences using Digital Forensic best practices. Support to legal proceedings by presenting findings, preparing reports, and collaborating with legal professionals and to ensure adherence to Global and regional legal standards. Provision of Security improvements, offering insight from investigation findings to enhance overall cyber security measures and prevent future incidents. Maintenance of skills and knowledge in the field of Cyber Forensic Investigations and Incident response processes to ensure understanding of technological advances, changes in threat landscape, Legal and Regulatory Changes, improved efficiency, and professional development. Assistant Vice President Expectations Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues. Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Digital Forensic Specialist to join a market leading Digital Forensic and Investigations team within a prominent British universal bank with a significant global presence. This role involves leading complex digital forensic and cyber incident investigations, aiming to deliver positive outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders. You will enhance the organisation's investigative capability and safeguard against insider threats by driving change and implementing effective solutions. To be successful as a Senior Forensic Specialist, you should have: Ample Digital Forensic Investigation skills and mindset Professional Digital Forensic certification(s), with experience utilising industry standard Digital Forensic Tooling Corporate / Law enforcement investigator, with PEACE / interview experience Other highly valued skills include : Prior people management experience Python scripting / programming experience / certification(s) Network / Cloud / AI experience You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
