Youth Worker – SEND School in Loughton

A fantastic SEND school in Loughton is looking to appoint a Youth Worker to support pupils with a range of additional learning and behavioural needs.
This role would suit someone who understands the challenges young people face today and who is passionate about making a positive difference in their lives. While experience in schools is beneficial, it is not essential. We welcome applications from those with backgrounds in youth work, care, sports coaching, after-school clubs, or similar settings.
Start Date: September (or immediate start for the right candidate)
Availability: Full-time and part-time positions available
The successful applicant will:

2. Think creatively to support pupils with diverse and complex needs
3. Show genuine care for the academic, emotional, and personal development of each student
4. Build trusting, positive relationships and motivate students to engage in learning
5. Communicate confidently with staff, families, and external professionals
6. Take initiative and adapt their approach to meet each student’s individual communication and learning needs
