Materials Laboratory Technician Apprentice (Level 3) - Construction Testing Solutions (CTS), Doncaster
Location: Bootham Lane Industrial Estate, Bootham Ln, Dunscroft, Hatfield, Doncaster DN7 4JU
CTS offers comprehensive onsite and laboratory materials testing services across various sectors including construction, rail, roads, airports, tunnelling, mining, utilities, and regeneration.
We are seeking two enthusiastic Laboratory Technicians to join our Construction Materials Testing team in Doncaster. This role provides hands-on experience in a dynamic, science-led industry.
The Package
* Starting salary: £24,000 per annum (dependent on age)
* Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, with occasional overtime
* Paid overtime
* 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

Role Responsibilities
* Testing construction materials such as soil, concrete, and asphalt
* Producing accurate test results following industry standards
* Maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment
* Calibrating and maintaining equipment
* Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with procedures
* Working within the Red Lab testing facility
Future Opportunities
CTS is committed to developing talent. Successful apprentices may transition into full-time roles with progression opportunities, including becoming a registered Science Technician (RSci Tech) or pursuing further qualifications like a Level 6 BSc Apprenticeship.
Candidate Profile

Note: Heavy lifting and living within a 45-minute commute are required.
Qualifications & Experience
Enthusiasm is more important than academic results. Previous experience is welcome but not essential; the right attitude is key.
How the Apprenticeship Works
Over 21 months, you'll dedicate at least 6 hours/week to training, including virtual lessons, shadowing, mentoring, and assignments. You'll earn a salary while gaining a Level 3 Laboratory Technician qualification, guided by expert tutors and mentors.
