Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the overall management of our nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education, working closely with staff, children, and parents to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
Duties
* Assist the Nursery Manager in the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Lead and motivate a team of childcare professionals, promoting high standards of care and education.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and wellbeing.
* Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a cohesive team environment.
* Drive initiatives that enhance the educational experience for children aged 0-5 years.
* Oversee the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
* Maintain accurate records related to children's progress and nursery operations.
* Support the creation of a welcoming environment that encourages parental involvement.
Experience
* Proven leadership experience within a childcare or educational setting is essential.
* Strong command of English, both spoken and written, to facilitate effective communication with staff and parents.
* Experience working with children in an educational or childcare capacity is highly desirable.
* A background in early childhood education or related qualifications is preferred.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
* A genuine drive to support children's development through engaging activities and programmes.

Term-Time Only 38weeks/year 32.5 hrs/week

* A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or above)

* Experience in a senior or supervisory role within early years

* Excellent communication and leadership skills
