About The Client:
Yoh! Are proud to be working with a leading electronics company based in Loughborough, specializing in high-technology product development and low-to-medium volume manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop electronic circuits (analog and digital), including microcontroller development and embedded firmware development (C).
* Create schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout using Altium Designer or equivalent software.
* Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure designs meet specifications.
* Produce technical and assembly drawings of PCBAs and mechanical sub-assemblies.
* Prototype construction and testing, specification of test and manufacturing procedures for new products.
Key Requirements and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electronics.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial electronics design and development.
* Proficiency in microcontroller development (ARM, PIC, etc.) and embedded firmware development (C).
* Strong knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer or equivalent.
* Experience liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure designs meet specifications.
* Proficient in prototype construction, testing, and specification of test and manufacturing procedures.
* Desirable: Experience with embedded development using RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr OS), nRF or STM32 Microcontrollers, computer programming/scripting (e.g., C#, Java, Python), Altium Designer, and designing for EMC and electrical safety.
