Security Manager – Corsham, Wiltshire

Serco is recruiting a Security Manager to join the team based at our Corsham site in Wiltshire. As the Security Manager you will drive the security posture across three critical Ministry of Defence sites, leading a dedicated team in delivering a compliant, efficient, and innovative security service that protects our client’s most sensitive assets.
Responsibilities
* People leadership and management
o Lead a team of security personnel across three sites.
o Line manage two Site Security Officers.
o Recruit, train and manage performance.
o Ensure training compliance under Success‑Profiles.
* Financial management
o Assist Contract Manager with budget forecasts and day‑to‑day control.
o Produce Latest Best Estimate and manage Cost to Complete based on SAP.
* Contract and compliance
o Record key KPI and material obligations.
o Conduct security investigations and audits.
o Maintain physical security measures and upgrades.
* Operational excellence and strategic growth
o Implement security procedures aligned with customer requirements.
o Educate staff on security matters.
o Ensure SIA licences are valid and licensed staff are reported correctly.
* Strategic engagement
o Maintain communication channels with local security services and the MoD.
Qualifications
* Experience in a MOD or similar environment with GovS 007 and JSP 440.
* Managing vetting process and handling protectively marked assets.
* Recognised qualification in Security Management or supervision (e.g. DISA).
* UK SC clearance required.
* Proven leader building high‑performing teams.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office.
* UK driving licence.
* Commitment to professional development, aiming membership of Defence Security Industry Association.
