Class of 2021, '22, '23 or 3-6PQE Private Funds Associate
A leading US law firm is looking to hire a 3–6 PQE Private Funds Associate to join its expanding funds practice in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a funds lawyer who wants to work on sophisticated sponsor-side mandates across fund formation, fundraising, investor negotiations and broader private capital matters.
The team advises fund managers and alternative investment platforms across the full lifecycle of private investment funds, from structuring and launch through to closings, ongoing operations and strategic sponsor-level transactions.
The role will involve advising on a broad range of matters, including:
* Private fund formation and fundraising
* Fund structuring and documentation
* Investor negotiations and side letter arrangements
* Co-investment vehicles and managed accounts
* Continuation vehicles and other liquidity solutions
* Fund amendments, extensions and restructurings
* Internal sponsor arrangements and economic sharing structures
* Strategic transactions involving investment management businesses
* Ongoing fund operations and governance matters
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide range of alternative investment strategies, including private equity, infrastructure, real assets, credit, secondaries and venture-style strategies. The practice offers high-quality work, close partner contact and the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility within a growing international platform.
The ideal candidate will have:
* 3–6 years’ PQE from a strong investment funds practice - Ideally UK trained and qualified
* Experience in private funds, fund formation, secondaries, asset management or related private capital work
* Strong drafting and transaction management skills
* Confidence handling fund documentation, investor queries and negotiation processes
* Good commercial judgement and attention to detail
* A proactive, collaborative approach
