Overview
Intervention Tutor role at Targeted Provision — SEN / SEND tutors for young people with SEND, SEMH, and other additional educational needs in Shropshire. This role focuses on 1:1 tutoring with a variety of learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the needs we support.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Work with young people referred by local authorities and schools, providing educational and social-emotional support
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions that meet individual needs and support progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD or other additional needs
* Understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (we can assist with obtaining this at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work in the UK, including for remote assignments
* Commitment to safeguarding and the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people
Employment Status
* Engagements as a Worker providing short-term services as they arise
* Contract for service with PAYE payment
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance coverage provided; not a self-employed position
