Business Intelligence Analyst – FP&A at Modulr
Location: London — Full-time, in office 4 days/week
What You’ll Do
Our Business Intelligence Analysts play a pivotal role in analysing and presenting Modulr’s data to inform business decisions, support regulatory compliance, and ensure effective risk management. You will actively engage with stakeholders to understand the business activities which generate our data, how they relate to historical business performance, and why they will drive our target operational and financial outcomes.
* Engage with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to define clear data requirements, advising on the best business solutions.
* Act as a liaison between the business and Data Engineering to communicate requirements for new data sources or adjustments to existing ones.
* Create and maintain engaging, interactive visualisations that clearly communicate complex data to empower informed decision-making.
* Work with functional subject matter experts to develop and standardise clear data definitions relevant to their business areas.
* Support digital transformation initiatives by enabling process automation and driving adoption of data platforms.
* Champion data quality by identifying inconsistencies and working with data owners to improve processes and prevent issues.
* Conduct ad hoc analysis to support specific business projects and initiatives.
Who You Are
* You have a can-do attitude focused on delivering outcomes to Modulr business owners.
* You have excellent attention to detail and can spot obvious errors in your analysis.
* You’re comfortable with ambiguity and can present work with awareness of unknowns.
* You build robust, automated processes and prefer correct solutions first time.
* You think beyond the numbers and are curious about what drives financial performance.
* You are technically strong with extensive SQL knowledge; Python, Snowflake, and Git are a plus.
* You are proficient in Power BI or other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Mode).
* You have experience in dimensional data modelling, gathering requirements, designing data models, and maintaining accurate structures.
* You have experience in or are keen to learn about predictive analytics, trend/correlation analysis, and forecasting improvements.
* You have experience in fast-paced environments; exposure to financial services or technology is desirable.
