Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance and Certification Manager to join our team in Rotterdam, Netherlands. This hybrid role offers an opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving our quality assurance and certification landscape, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulatory requirements.
This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in Quality Management Systems (QMS), Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), and ISO standards, particularly ISO 27001. Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001, and EN-ISO/IEC 80079-34.
2. Managing the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and ensuring continuous compliance with ISO/IEC 27001 and IEC62443.
3. Coordinating and managing regional product certification processes (e.g., ATEX, IECEx, CE, FCC, IC, TELEC, RCM).
4. Developing and maintaining a certification roadmap aligned with international standards.
5. Conducting internal audits, gap assessments, and coordinating with external certification bodies.
6. Performing risk assessments and driving continuous improvement of QMS and ISMS.
7. Leading Management Reviews, including performance monitoring and objective setting.
8. Acting as the Information Security Officer and leading governance efforts related to product safety, quality, and information security.
9. Ensuring successful audits and (re)certifications for relevant standards and schemes.
10. Serving as the primary contact for certification bodies, notified bodies, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:
11. In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 standards (ISO 27001 is non-negotiable).
12. Preferable knowledge of IEC/EN 80079-34 or IEC62443 standards.
13. Proven experience in managing QMS and ISMS.
14. Strong ability to conduct internal audits and manage external audit interactions.
15. Strategic thinking and planning skills for certification roadmaps and compliance.
16. Excellent documentation and traceability practices.
17. Risk assessment and mitigation skills related to security and compliance.
18. Effective stakeholder communication and coordination with regulatory bodies.
19. Leadership in continuous improvement initiatives for QMS and ISMS.
20. Familiarity with regulatory and cybersecurity trends in Industrial IoT.
Day-to-Day
On a typical day, you will:
21. Oversee and update certification and compliance records.
22. Conduct internal audits and prepare for external audits.
23. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with corporate policies.
24. Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
25. Lead Management Reviews and monitor performance metrics.
26. Act as the primary liaison with certification bodies and regulatory authorities.
27. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for QMS and ISMS.
