Job Overview
The Informatics Department has an opportunity for a Call Receptionist/Switchboard Operator for Day, Night and Day shifts at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.
Provide a comprehensive, high‑quality switchboard service 24/7, a computer to locate patients admitted via the site‑specific system and operating the internal paging system to contact staff for both internal and external calls.
Welsh to be learned within 12 months of appointment.
Responsibilities
* Bleep long‑range pagers, give numeric and verbal information, await response and put callers through to departments as requested; if no response, monitor situation and take appropriate action.
* Carry out emergency procedures for cardiac arrest, fire, major incident, personal attack, etc., maintaining records as per standing instructions and operational procedures.
* Replace batteries for internal paging receivers, arrange replacement pagers if faulty and provide correct usage instructions to pager holders.
