Castle Employment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of an established agricultural buildings company for a proactive Health & Safety Manager. This is an exclusive, site-based opportunity requiring extensive travel, ideally suited to candidates with a strong background in both the agricultural and construction sectors. The successful individual will take full ownership of health and safety across the production facility and multiple customer sites. Candidates with less direct Health & Safety experience but strong agricultural or construction experience are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain health & safety policies and procedures across manufacturing and construction environments.
Conduct risk assessments for workshop activities and on-site agricultural building installations.
Oversee workshop safety, including machinery operation, manual handling, and COSHH compliance.
Prepare and manage RAMS and site-specific safety documentation in line with construction and agricultural standards.
Lead audits, inspections, and accident investigations across all sites.
Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing health & safety training.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
Promote a proactive, positive health & safety culture across the workforce.Candidate Requirements:
NEBOSH General Certificate – essential for candidates with strong agricultural or construction experience.
Proven experience in a senior Health & Safety role – desirable, but candidates with significant agricultural or construction experience will also be considered.
Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations – essential.
Background within the agricultural sector, particularly agricultural buildings or related operations – highly desirable.This role offers a highly competitive salary, along with a company mobile phone and laptop.
