You'll be joining a well-established group of companies based in Jesmond. The business is growing, the structure's evolving, and there's a new Financial Controller driving a lot of positive change. There's plenty to do, and plenty of opportunity to make a difference, but you'll need to be confident and ready to take responsibility.
You'll take full ownership of the month-end process across multiple entities, managing accruals, prepayments, journals, intercompany reconciliations and reporting. You'll make sure everything is accurate, deadlines are met, and management information is clear and meaningful.
Beyond the numbers, you'll also get involved in improving reporting packs, tightening processes, and supporting system changes as the finance function continues to develop. It's a hands-on role that needs someone who enjoys structure but isn't afraid to question how things are done and make improvements.
The fiance team includes a Finance Manager, a transactional team, and in-house payroll, all based together in the Jesmond offices, just a short walk from the Metro. It's a lively office where things move quickly, and everyone is heard. You'll be based in the office three days a week, with two days from home a mix that gives you the best of both worlds: collaboration and flexibility.
You'll have solid experience preparing management accounts, ideally within a group or multi-entity business, and be confident managing the full month-end cycle. Strong Excel skills are a plus, and you'll be comfortable dealing with different stakeholders and priorities.
You might be part-qualified or qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) both are fine, but what really matters is your experience, your initiative, and your ability to work with confidence and accuracy.
