We are seeking a dedicated Test and Inspect Engineer to join our team at HMP Rochester, a CATEGORY C/YOI & Male prison. Responsibilities
As a Test and Inspect Engineer you will be part of the Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Rochester, helping to maintain safety and operational integrity across the site. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure electrical systems and related equipment are inspected and tested to required standards.
Qualifications
* At least five years experience working as an electrician
* Two years experience working in a role as a test and inspection electrician or equivalent
* Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems and catering equipment
* Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
* Strong communication skills
* Basic IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word
* Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines
* C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation)
* C&G 2391 - Electrical inspection and testing
* NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
* 18th Edition
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
