Role: .NET Developer
Location: Norwich (hybrid)
Salary: Up to £50k DOE
A well-established organisation is looking to recruit a .NET Developer to join its internal development team, working on the design, development and support of a range of business-critical systems.
Reporting to the Development Team Leader, this role will involve developing new applications, enhancing existing systems and providing ongoing technical support to internal users. The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering reliable, high-quality software solutions while contributing to continuous improvements across the development environment.
This is a great opportunity for a developer who enjoys working across the full development lifecycle, from gathering requirements and writing specifications through to development, testing and implementation.
The environment is primarily Microsoft-focused, utilising modern development tools and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain internal systems and applications
2. Produce technical specifications for system enhancements and new developments
3. Write, test and maintain program code across systems used within the department
4. Manage small development projects or sub-projects from concept through to delivery
5. Ensure systems are thoroughly tested and meet agreed quality standards
6. Maintain clear documentation for systems and system changes
7. Provide technical support and resolve user issues where required
8. Assist other members of the development team with project work and troubleshooting
9. Ensure development work follows department standards and procedures
10. Keep up to date with emerging development technologies and practices
Skills & Experience
11. Experience developing with .NET (C# / ASP.NET)
12. Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server
13. Familiarity with Visual Studio development environments
14. Experience developing within Windows-based environments
15. Knowledge of HTML and web technologies
16. Experience working with Microsoft Office tools
17. Exposure to Azure platforms and services
Desirable Skills
18. JavaScript or TypeScript
19. Azure DevOps
20. PowerShell scripting
21. Experience with Power Platform
22. Mobile development exposure (Android / iOS)
23. Experience working with .NET MAUI
