Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a 5-bed children’s home in Barnstaple, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to each child's needs, promoting their safety, well-being, and development.
* Oversee staff recruitment, training, and supervision, fostering a positive team environment.
* Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all paperwork is completed efficiently using provided software and hardware.
* Build strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies to support positive outcomes.
* Ensure the home remains 'Ofsted ready' at all times through continuous improvement and staff development.
* Promote a culture of aspiration, challenge, and creativity within the team.
Requirements
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Level 5 Diploma in Children and Family Practitioner or equivalent preferred).
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior support worker or managerial role within a residential children’s home.
* Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for managing paperwork and compliance.
* Passion for working with children and a commitment to their safety and well-being.
* Ability to work in Barnstaple and relocate if necessary.
