We are growing We currently have two clinics, soon to be expanding to three, and some exciting private and public contracts which support our journey. We are focussed on our goal, which is to provide ever more holistic and needs centred services as we build.

About the Role

We are seeking to recruit part-time Neurodevelopmental Practitioners to join our multidisciplinary assessment team at our Hathersage clinic. This is an exciting new role working within our already well-established assessment teams. This is an opportunity to work alongside other professionals to assess the individual needs of children and young people, providing support to guidance, support and advice to clients and their families.

We are looking for anyone with relevant professional registration, for example: Nursing, Speech and Language Therapy, Specialist Teachers, Occupational Therapy or Psychology backgrounds.

Responsibilities will include:

* Conducting high quality neurodevelopmental assessments and observations, formulating a clinical conclusion backed up by clinical reasoning and recommendations
* Ensure that all assessments provided are in line with NICE guidelines
* Contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings, reaching an assessment conclusion and creating an individualised support plan to meet the needs of the children dependent upon the assessment outcome
* Support clients and families by providing information, advice, and interventions tailored to individual needs
* Be able to utilise a variety of advanced communication skills when interacting with children, young people, and their families. This includes verbal, written, electronic, and tailored communication methods that are adapted to meet individual needs.
* A high level of communication competency is essential to ensure that children, young people, and their families understand the information being shared. Communication will often occur in complex, emotional, and sensitive situations, requiring the use of empathy, tact and assertiveness/
* Maintain accurate records
* Stay current with evidence-based practices and contribute to training and professional development
* Adhere to relevant Professional Code of Practice, Standards and Guidelines and Mantle Psychology policies
* Ensure child safeguarding procedures are followed as per mandatory and statutory training
* Attend regular meetings with the wider clinical and administrative teams

About You

The most important thing is that you will be self-starting and dynamic, always looking for opportunities to learn and improve.

You will be based within a commutable distance to our Hathersage clinic.

Essential:

* Be able to work well independently, as well as within in team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Have experience of report writing
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Expertise with Microsoft products
* Relevant professional registration
* Experience of working with children and young people with ADHD or Autism
* Experience of high quality report writing and record keeping

Desirable:

* Experience of working with ADOS and other assessment tools
* Experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties
* Experience of writing assessment reports
* Experience of reviewing clinical documentation and information to inform an assessment
