The Role
As an Employee Relations Consultant, Officer – UK & Ireland, you will provide expert support and advice to the business divisions and corporate functions throughout the UK and Ireland. Your focus will be ensuring the effective management of internal and external Employee Relations (ER) matters and related risks (e.g., legal, financial, and reputational).
Working within a team vital to the organisation's overall success, you will advise on a variety of workplace matters and help manage employee concerns across the organisation. You will strive for commercial and thoughtful solutions while also building manager capability and fostering engagement within the employee population. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to further develop their Employee Relations expertise.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the team SME on occupational health management, working closely with Occupational Health and Permanent Health Insurance providers to ensure early intervention on case management and a joined-up approach to managing and supporting employees on sickness absence.
* Facilitate employee relations investigations (performance, sickness absence management, conduct, grievance, anti-harassment). Provide advice and support to investigating and hearing managers to ensure a fair and consistent approach.
* Provide timely and professional advice on ER issues including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, and conduct matters.
* Manage a caseload of ER cases, ensuring accurate documentation and risk mitigation.
* Partner with HR Business Partners and line managers to resolve employee issues.
* Ensure compliance with UK and Irish employment legislation and internal policies.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders on employee relations and conducted related matters such as legal, risk, compliance, etc.
* Support restructuring projects and effectively manage individual consultation requirements.
* Support the development and implementation of ER policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience working in a fast-paced ER function (Financial services experience preferable).
* Knowledge of UK and Irish Employment Law.
* Proven experience managing ER Cases.
* Experience navigating a global organization and matrix structures.
