The OpportunityWe are recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer to join a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy based in Leeds.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineer with a background in water, wastewater, drainage or infrastructure design to join a business at an exciting stage of growth, following recent success on a major Yorkshire Water framework.The role offers a varied workload across water and civil engineering projects, with additional exposure to residential development, drainage strategies, external works and infrastructure schemes. It is known for its practical, collaborative and design-led approach, supporting projects across commercial, residential, infrastructure and development sectors.With continued growth in the water sector, including recent framework success, this is an excellent time to join a business that values technical excellence, client service and long-term career development.The RoleAs Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of civil engineering schemes, with a strong focus on water-related infrastructure, drainage and development projects.You will be responsible for producing and reviewing technical designs, supporting project delivery, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and helping to ensure work is delivered to a high standard, on time and in line with client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and deliver civil engineering designs for water, drainage and infrastructure projectsSupport projects connected to the Yorkshire Water frameworkProduce drainage strategies, external works designs and infrastructure layoutsWork on residential, commercial and development-related civil engineering schemesPrepare technical drawings, calculations, reports and design documentationSupport Section 104, Section 106, Section 38 and Section 278 agreements where requiredLiaise with clients, contractors, local authorities, water companies and wider design teamsReview designs to ensure compliance with relevant UK standards and guidanceManage project tasks, deadlines, technical outputs and client expectationsSupport and mentor junior engineers and techniciansMaintain a strong focus on quality, commercial awareness and practical design deliveryAbout YouWe are looking for a technically strong and motivated Civil Engineer with experience in water, drainage or infrastructure design .You will be confident working across a varied project workload and able to communicate clearly with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
