Were looking for a Catering Technician to join our team at Peterborough College. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where youll support both staff and students in delivering high-quality hospitality training within our professional kitchen environment.
The Catering Technician will work 25 hours per week, during term time only (36 weeks per year).
About the Role Working closely with our teaching team, youll play a key part in supporting practical learning sessions, helping students build confidence and develop industry-ready skills. Youll ensure the learning environment is safe, organised and fully equipped, while also sharing your knowledge and experience with learners.
From preparing resources and maintaining equipment, to supervising students and supporting their day-to-day learning, no two days will be the same.
What Were Looking For Were looking for someone with experience in the hospitality industry who enjoys working in a practical, fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.
Youll bring:
Experience within catering or hospitality
A good understanding of health and safety in a practical environment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confidence supporting and working with young people
A proactive, can-do approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
It would be great if you also have experience in training or teaching, or a relevant qualificationbut if youre keen to develop these skills, well support you.
