Responsibilities:
* I need you to compose market scoping and competitive shop reports to identify new opportunities for our key customers.
* You will support range building and sales performance reviews, identifying opportunities and offering design-led solutions.
* Building strong relationships with key customers to support their design and development requirements across categories will be part of your role.
* With support from the Design Manager, you will prepare and present commercial product opportunities in customer meetings.
* I expect you to collaborate with the Design Manager and Account Manager to develop new products and ranges that are engineered to cost.
* You will build strong relationships with factories and create clear, commercial design briefs to achieve “right first time” samples.
* Developing a basic knowledge of cost prices and minimum order quantities (MOQs), along with a curiosity to understand the commercial side of development, is important.
* You will manage end-to-end product development for selected accounts, taking responsibility from concept through to approved sample while meeting Critical Path deadlines.
* Progressing samples and keeping both the wider team and customers updated via Development Trackers will be necessary.
* You will also manage and maintain the internal Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
* Ensure development timescales align with key Critical Path dates and drop-dead deadlines.
* You are expected to build knowledge of product techniques, substrates, and production methods while developing the ability to engineer products to target cost prices and consider production limitations.
* Assisting with the creation of seasonal packaging artworks in line with customer guidelines and factory requirements will also be part of your job.
