Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team at our Head Office in Oldmeldrum. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organisation. This position involves assisting with various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance department.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including ledgers and journals
* Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely manner
* Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary documentation
* Conduct reconciliations of bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy
* Respond to internal and external queries regarding financial matters
* Dealing with customer and supplier queries professionally and promptly
* Processing machinery stock orders
* Support finance team with various administrative tasks
Experience
* Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred
* Familiarity with accounting software packages and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is advantageous
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Bank reconciliation experience
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
