About the Role:
Reporting to the Service Desk Manager, you will be working on our helpdesk, responsible for the logging, diagnosis and resolution of client's hardware and software technical issues.
This is a hybrid role where you will be split working some days from our offices and some days from home.
Your day-to-day duties will be varied, and the role requires someone who is not only technically capable but also a great communicator, well organised, self-motivated, and committed to providing the best service possible.
The role will require travel to our client's sites for service and project work as well as some out of hours work from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide telephone, remote and onsite support to VeryPC service customers.
* Assist with onsite installation of desktops, servers, and other computer related equipment.
* Liaise with external support providers when necessary.
* Follow-up with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Ensure all service work is logged in company ticketing system.
* Write and maintain internal documentation and knowledgebase articles.
* General duties as appropriate to the role
The Candidate
* Ideally located within 30 mins of Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
* Full Clean UK Driving License.
* Excellent telephone manner, good interpersonal and communications skills.
* The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines whilst maintaining exceptional customer service.
* Minimum of 3 years experience working in a technical role providing IT support.
* Own vehicle with class 1 business insurance due to Hybrid/WFH arrangement.
Skills / Experience Required
* Excellent understanding of desktop and laptop hardware.
* Excellent skills diagnosing and resolving both hardware and software faults.
* Experience supporting users with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD / EntraID, Microsoft 365 or Intune a plus.
* Experience with networking and networking hardware such as switches and firewalls.
* Experience with VOIP a plus.
