EPW2 Hours of Work: Mon-Thurs:8:00-16:30 & Fri: 8:00-13:30 Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our finance team. This role will support the effective operation of the sales ledger, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong financial control. The successful candidate will play a key role in invoicing, cash allocation, and supporting wider finance activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Accurately raise and post sales invoices in a timely manner Match sales invoices to Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation Prepare and post month-end journals Maintain and update sales reporting spreadsheets Post and allocate customer receipts to the sales ledger Proactively manage aged debt, including credit control and debtor chasing Support the preparation and submission of National Statistics returns Assist with year-end audit processes and provide required documentation Undertake ad hoc finance and administrative tasks as required Skills & Experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role Experience within a manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential) Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines Proactive, positive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Confident and professional telephone manner Comfortable liaising with internal stakeholders across different functions Systems & Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (intermediate level or above) Experience with accounting systems and sales ledger processes Qualifications Accounting qualification or working towards one (e.g. AAT or equivalent) preferred Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles
