Location: Stevenage
Hourly Rate: £18.97 - £21.87 per hour Hours: 37 per week (Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-3:30pm)
Contract Length: Until 15 August 2025

Full driving licence requiredHays is recruiting for an experienced Floor Layer to join their Building Safety & Property Repairs team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install and repair vinyl (cap and cove), lino, laminate, and carpet flooring.
* Prepare and level floors using latexing and screeding techniques.
* Work across a variety of domestic and public buildings, including sheltered housing and care homes.
* Support major refurbishments, new builds, and responsive maintenance.
* Collaborate with other trades to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service.
Essential Requirements:
* Immediate availability.
* Proven experience in wet room/bathroom vinyl and kitchen vinyl laying.
* Latex floor preparation experience.
* Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
* Experience working in local authority or public housing settings preferred.
