.NET Core Developer (with nopCommerce Experience), £50,000 - £55,000 We are seeking a skilled .NET Core Developer with proven experience in the nopCommerce platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and customising e-commerce solutions using ASP.NET Core, nopCommerce, and related Microsoft technologies. You will work alongside a cross-functional team of designers, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and performant e-commerce applications. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy web applications using ASP.NET Core and nopCommerce. Customise and extend nopCommerce functionality through plugin development and theming. Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and shipping providers. Optimise performance, security, and scalability of nopCommerce implementations. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces. Participate in planning and coding reviews. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and bugs. Write unit tests and contribute to test automation efforts. Maintain clear technical documentation and deployment notes. Experience: Minimum 3 years professional experience with ASP.NET Core development. At least 1 year hands-on experience with nopCommerce (preferably v4.50 or later). Strong knowledge of C#, MVC, Entity Framework Core, LINQ, Dependency Injection. Experience creating and deploying nopCommerce plugins and themes. Proficient in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3. Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and third-party integrations. Familiarity with SQL Server including writing complex queries and stored procedures. Understanding of e-commerce domain concepts such as catalogue, orders, payments, discounts. Experience using Git and working in a CI/CD environment. Desirable: Experience with nopCommerce multi-store and multi-vendor configurations. Exposure to Azure and Docker. Experience with nopCommerce performance tuning and caching strategies. Knowledge of SEO best practices and accessibility standards. Location: Hybrid working – mainly from home, with quarterly travel to Southampton for project reviews and company gatherings.
