Learning Support Assistant – Scunthorpe
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £89 – £105 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

GSL Education are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Scunthorpe, providing essential support to students with additional learning and behavioural needs.
This is a full-time, long-term role, ideal for someone passionate about helping children reach their full potential through patience, encouragement, and consistency.
The Role:
* Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including learning difficulties and SEMH challenges.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
* Provide 1:1 or small-group support to promote learning and emotional wellbeing.
* Encourage positive behaviour and help create a safe, supportive classroom environment.
* Liaise with staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure cohesive support.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous school-based or care experience is essential.
* Understanding of supporting students with additional or complex needs.
* Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to learning and behaviour support.
* Confident in building positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* Holds an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
