Join Hampshire’s School Crossing Patrol Service and become a valued part of your local community by helping to keep children and families safe on their journeys to and from school. This is a rewarding and highly visible role where you will play a key part in promoting road safety and making a positive difference every day.
As a School Crossing Patrol, you will take on a vital role in your community – helping children and families cross the road safely during busy school run times. You will be a calm and reassuring presence at designated crossing points, ensuring pedestrians are protected and traffic is managed with care and confidence. The position involves working 10 hours per week during school term time, typically one hour in the morning and one in the afternoon, and will provide you with a uniform to keep you protected in all weather conditions.
Hampshire County Council is recognised nationally as one of the highest performing local authorities in the UK. We offer a modern, supportive and collaborative working environment, flexible employment, a great work‑life balance and investment in your development through internal programmes and training. The role comes with a competitive salary and benefits package.
